There's a new running club in Waldorf, Maryland and it's a whole vibe. It's called Waldorf Runners and it has an extraordinary goal in mind: to bring runners of all levels together around a shared love of movement and being outdoors.

The group, which prides itself as being a safe space for runners of all backgrounds and levels (including walkers), is currently hosting two weekly run/walks for the community including their signature Tuesday Night Run and Thursday Trot which are drawing large groups of runners and walkers from throughout the community.
The Waldorf Runners is fired up and is gauging community interest as it seeks to expand and take the club to the next level by adding additional runs and activities for the community. The group has already hosted collaborations with other local run groups and race organizations to bring runners together and in hopes of bringing the many "lone wolf" runners and walkers of Waldorf and Southern Maryland together.
The group's founder and longtime Waldorf resident, Ashli Savoy, started the group after sitting idly on her vision for many years, because she was simply tired of running alone and wanted to create the amazing camaraderie and thriving sense of family and community around running that she sees in other DMV communities.
"There are so many run groups across the DMV that are bringing together amazing athletes and having so much fun doing it," she said when discussing her vision. "I am often envious of those run communities that have become family and firmly believe that we should create the things we want to see in our community, and that we shouldn't have to drive to Baltimore or Washington for those things if we don't wan't to. We spend enough time sitting in traffic," she continued.
While it is a new club, Waldorf Runners continues to grow each and every week, and is very excited to host more runs, walks, and events for and with the community.

Follow the movement @WaldorfRunners on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. It's sure to be a vibe.
